Your Purpose

There are many great ways that you can get involved. Check out some of the ideas listed below.

  • Develop your own cross cultural exchange program to be implemented in Tanzania and/or America
  • Let us know if you have a particular talent or skill that you would like to share with NTC. We are always looking for interested graphic designers, editors, writers, photographers, computer nerds, wacky artists, etc. We would love to work with YOU!
  • Introduce us to elementary school administrators or teachers that are interested in participating in the Village Reading Corner Program
  • Be our next Project Director, from September 2011 – August 2012. Contact us if you are interested in filling in this much needed position.
  • Start an NTC Club at your school or institution
  • Allow us to help you organize a trip to Tanzania
  • Put together a gift (photo album, music CD, movie, etc) for your Tanzanian friends that reflects your unique culture
  • Stay up to date with NTC’s news feed
  • Follow us on Facebook and Twitter
  • Follow our Project Director’s “Live From Kwala” Blog
  • Send us pictures from your class project so that we can post them on our website
  • Brainstorm fun Internet based games that you would like to see available on our website
  • Host a fundraiser at your school or in your community (all funds raised by your classroom will go toward helping NTC construct and stock libraries at our partner schools in Tanzania)
    • Bake sales
    • Talent Shows
    • Yankee Candle sales (through their fundraising program, 40% of proceeds go towards a charity of your choosing)
    • Garage sales
    • Spare change drives
    • Sell NTC rubber bracelets at your school (Contact NTC to order bracelets)
    • Fundraiser nights at local restaurants
