Jackie Schon has painted several scenes from Kwala as a fundraiser for NTC. She also raised money at the Biltmore Bar and Grille in Newton to purchase art materials and paint a mural on one of the walls of Kwala Secondary School in July, 2009. Her work in Tanzania defines the principles upon which NTC was built — a truly collaborative effort between Newton citizens, Jackie, and the students of Kwala Secondary School. Please check back to this page to see more of Jackie’s art in the near future! |

Amesbury for Africa is a non-profit organization that has quietly been changing lives in its partner village, Esabalu Kenya, for over 20 years. Founded by Dr. Mark Bean, who currently sits on NTC’s advisory board, Amesbury for Africa served as a great inspiration for the formation of NTC. The organization works under the same principles at NTC – those who are interested in getting involved bring their own set of interests to the table and can make a difference in a way that is meaningful to them. For more information on Amesbury for Africa, please visit their website here.
