NTC has created NTC Club at Boston University to harness the involvement of undergraduate students interested in the fields of African Studies, Education, and International Development. With this club, NTC hopes to bring together minds and hands to accomplish something truly remarkable in Kwala.
NTC-BU Monthly Forum:
NTC Club at Boston University will hold monthly meetings throughout the school year to discuss a variety of topics, including:
- The best practices for NGO’s working in Africa
- Opportunities for college students to get involved before and after they graduate
- General issues facing the African continent.
As a former student of Boston University, Executive Director Ross Lohr hopes to make this an open, casual, and fun forum where Boston University students have the opportunity to choose and direct conversations of their choice. NTC Club at Boston University will also host one event per semester to raise awareness of the issues affecting Tanzania as well as raise funds for NTC projects in Kwala, Tanzania. NTC Club at Boston University will also host Kwala Secondary School teacherAthuman Msangi in October, 2009 and sponsor a fundraising event to celebrate his visit.
