NTC would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Judy Citron, who is visiting Kwala in February. Judy raised more than 1,000 dollars to purchase textbooks and children’s book for the students of Mahundi Primary School. The books were purchased at our partner publishing company, Mkuki na Nyota Publishing.  Judy will be in Kwala for the week of February 15th to present the books to the primary school, work with teachers at the school on how to appropriately use the textbooks in classrooms, and further our mission to introduce reading as a leisurely activity in Kwala. Thanks again, Judy!

NTC would also like to send a special thank you to Susan Vancott, who rounded out this year’s Girls Scholarship Program by sponsoring two girls for the entire 2010 school year.  Thanks, Susan!

Thanks to Sande Sherr, Mark Walker, and Susan Walker for donating dictionaries which are aiding our students in learning and perfecting English. This is an essential language for our students success and these tools will move mountains in the classroom. Thank you!
